Growing up in a public housing estate during the 1980s, the speaker will share her childhood memories and the inspirations behind her works, taking us on a journey back to the simple and heartfelt joys of the old days.
About the Speaker
mingmingo
Born and raised in Hong Kong's public housing estates in the 1980s, mingmingo takes pride in their roots. They love to paint but have not received formal artistic training. In recent years, they have started painting old objects and sharing memories, finding even more reminiscences in the process.
Remarks:
• Conducted in Cantonese. Free admission.
• Registration by phone begins 2 weeks in advance. Limited seats are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
• Please arrive 5 minutes before commencement of the talk. Registration will become invalid for latecomers. Seats will then be allocated to those waiting on-site.
• The talk will be cancelled or postponed if Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or “Extreme Conditions” announced by the Government is in force 3 hours before commencement of the talk.
